Stripe Payment System Ceases Supporting Bitcoin
January 24, 2018
Stripe is determined to nix Bitcoin as a payment means, as the company reports.
The grounds for this are that transaction processing gets more time-consuming, number of failures has risen, so did commission fees for operations. What is more, Bitcoin profits have also reduced.
Stripe believes, number of people ready to use the cryptocurrency as a means of payment has dropped. The staff finds no sense in supporting Bitcoin anymore though staying positive towards the currency and hoping for the best.
As Tom Karlo, Stripe may well use Stellar (XLM) soon. But this is going to happen only after the currency consumer flow increases.
