Billionaire Tilman Fertitta: Bitcoin is Here to Stay

American billionaire Tilman Fertitta discussed Bitcoin and shared his opinion on the future of the cryptocurrency in an interview with CNBC.

Fertitta told that he believes that Bitcoin will not go away and compared it to the dotcom bubble saying that current popularity of everything related to the cryprocurrency is similar to what was happening 20 years ago:

"I think it's here to stay.  It's no different than anything new. Everybody forgets that if you put '.com' at the end of your name just 20 years ago, your stock ran up."

Fertitta, the owner of more than 500 restaurants around the world, said that he is ready to adopt the most popular cryptocurrency in the world as a means of payment in his restaurants, but noted that today it is rather unsafe to use it.

Billionarie said:

"I think it's going to happen. I mean, I remember somebody walking into my office and saying, 'The world's going to change. There's this thing called the internet.' And that wasn't that long ago. So we have to remember this. It's just something new and everything moves at a quicker pace today."

It's worthy to note that today there are more and more wealthy people begin to pay attention to the cryptocurrency market. For example, at the end of November, the creator of the portal TechCrunch dedicated to technological innovations and developments Michael Arrington announced the creation of a cryptocurrency hedge fund and a full re-qualification of his activities towards the study of the crypto industry.
