Bitcoin Buyer from Moscow Robbed of 24 Million Rubles

On December 15, a resident of Moscow was robbed of 24 million rubles, which the victim was planning to invest in bitcoins.
According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, unidentified individuals stole €300,000 and $50,000 under the pretext of selling bitcoins in one of the cafes In Komsomolsky Prospect. In total, the damages amounted to about 24 million rubles.
An criminal case, classified as a fraud under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, was initiated.
The case is far from being singular. In mid-November another buyer of bitcoins was robbed of 15 million rubles. After a telephone call from one of the participants in the transaction a gang of 8 people entered the room, took the money under the threat of violence and disappeared.
