Bitcoins Worthy of $64 Million Stolen as a Result of a Highly Professional Hack

Almost $64 million in bitcoins was stolen by hackers who broke into the Slovenian market NiceHash.

Transactions on the market were suspended on Thursday, for as long as investigating this hack takes. The officials announced that it was working with law enforcement agencies in the "urgent mode", and advised the users to change their passwords. This hacking was a "highly professional attack with complex social engineering", which resulted in about 4,700 bitcoins stolen, which  equals to about $63.92 million at current prices, said Andrej P Škraba, NiceHash's marketing manager .

NiceHash is a digital currency market that is aimed at people who want to earn on the processing power of their computers in the mining process. Many bitcoin owners have already started publishing panic comments on NiceHash entries in social networks.
