Zebpay to Resume Operations and Enlarge Service Area

October 19, 2018

India-based exchange Zebpay closed recently by the central bank is likely to resume operations outside the country, as Indiabits reports.

“Zebpay is going global. Zebpay will provide cryptocurrency exchange and OTC services to 20 countries in Europe”, as a tweet posted on Indiabits’ account said.

According to the actual terms of use the post cited to, Zebpay opened an affiliate Malta-registered company Awlencan Innovations Malta Ltd. in September. The document also adduces the countries that may gain access to the platform soon, like Malta, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, and Sweden.

Above all else, Zebpay opened its Singapore office in May. Remember that the decision followed the order by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) dated April which prohibited RBI-controlled financial institutions to provide services to companies involved in crypto market.

Zebpay was the oldest and one of the main crypto trading platforms of India but was suspended in July by the RBI.
