Trump Administration Elaborating “Comprehensive Strategy” for Cryptocurrencies
March 2, 2018
The US deputy attorney general has claimed, the government is developing full scale strategy for crypto world.
Rod Rosenstein was asked at the Financial Services Roundtable's conference to voice his view on cryptocurrencies and cyber security. Rosenstein noted a new office in charge of cyber security presented last week by the Justice Department and added, it is elaborating strategy to struggle cyber crimes. The office includes representatives of FBI, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Rosenstein is convinced, cryptocurrencies are quasi-anonymous and money laundering always leaves evidence that must be used by the federal investigators. The only thing left is to make sure that all employees from agents to attorneys are qualified professionals and are able to do their duty in a new ever-evolving field.
